Study in Sherlock: Uncovering the Arthur Conan Doyle Collection
Whatever the weather, ‘A Study in Sherlock: Uncovering the Arthur Conan Doyle Collection’ will encourage your creativity and powers of detection. The wide ranging exhibition has interest for people of all ages with a specially designed section of childrens activities.
This exhibition provides the visitor with an introduction to the Richard Lancelyn Green Collection and an opportunity to explore its breadth through a variety of media including films and commentaries.
The exhibition is open at the Portsmouth Museum
Open Tuesday - Sunday and Bank Holiday Mondays
April-September 10am-5.30pm.
October-March 10am-5pm
Closed: Mondays (except Bank Holiday Mondays)
Closed: 24-26 December and 1st January

Free access to all.
Additional activities are organised throughout the school holidays from family activity trails to murky mysteries!
All children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
Groups
The typical visit time by a group is 1 - 1½ hours to have the whole museum experience. The recommended maximum number arriving at any one time should not exceed 60 pupils. A teacher/pupil ratio of a t least 1:15 is essential.
It should be noted that when school groups are in the museum, the behaviour of the children or students is the responsibility of the teacher in charge.
When visiting A Study in Sherlock it is advisable to split into smaller groups of 15 - 20 within the galleries to avoid overcrowding.
